This is a vintage hand tooled deep brown leather clutch purse featuring an attractive floral design, I believe poppies, on both the front flap of the purse.  The name “Anna” is tooled on the interior front, when you lift the flap.  The back of the purse has a short leather grip.  It has a brass snap closure.  The interior is lined in latte coffee colored leather.  There is a pocket built onto either interior side.  The exterior and interior layers are held together by lacing along the edge.  The purse measures 6” by 9 1/4” with a depth of about 2” at the bottom.  It does have a few condition problems - there is a leather scuff at the bottom left back edge (see last close-up photo), and there is one lace broken at the top of the back grip, although it still functions.  There are a couple of spots on the interior, visible in the photos, and there are some light scuffs on the exterior, overall - I’m sure that these could be buffed out by a leather specialist. 

This is a wonderful 30s era clutch - nice example of tooled leather work and great if your name is Anna!
